Emmanuelle Bousquet

Emmanuelle Bousquet is a Lecturer in the Department of Italian Studies at the University of Nantes, a position held since 2005. She earned her Doctorate in Italian Studies from the University of Paris VIII in 2001. Her academic leadership includes:

• Head of the interdisciplinary Master's program 'Culture, Civilization, Society' (CCS), collaborating with École des Beaux-arts and École Centrale Nantes across six faculties
• Management committee member for the Europe Pathway Bachelor's degree
• Research coordination for digital humanities initiatives since 2015

Her research explores Italian cultural studies, opera genesis (19th-21st century), and digital humanities methodologies. She investigates creative processes in libretto-music-staging interactions and cultural mediation using computational tools, affiliated with AMO-Nantes and ITEM-Paris laboratories.

Administratively, she bridges humanities with engineering/arts through sustained partnerships with École Centrale Nantes and directs seminars on digital scholarship in cultural research.
