Emmanuel A. Velayos Larrabure

Emmanuel A. Velayos Larrabure is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at The Cooper Union and a tenure-track Assistant Professor at CUNY Hostos, specializing in Latin American intellectual and cultural history. His research focuses on the interplay between lettered and performative cultures in 19th-century Latin America, employing frameworks of media aesthetics, postcolonialism, and race studies. He holds a Ph.D. from New York University and degrees from Pontifical Catholic University of Peru.
