Emmanouil M Tentzeris is a Professor and Ed and Pat Joy Chair in Antennas at the Georgia Institute of Technology's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He joined Georgia Tech in 1998 after earning his Diploma (Summa Cum Laude) from the National Technical University of Athens (1992), and M.S./Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Michigan (1993, 1998).
His research pioneers innovations in:
- Advanced Electronics: 3D/inkjet-printed RF systems, flexible electronics, and origami antennas
- Sustainable Technologies: RF/mechanical/thermal energy harvesting and wireless power transfer
- Emerging Applications: Nanosensors, implantable body-area networks, IoT, and "smart skin" solutions
- High-Frequency Systems: mm-wave modules and wireless communication algorithms
Honors include:
- IEEE distinctions: Fellow, CRFID and MTT-S Distinguished Lectureships
- Prestigious awards: Georgia Tech ECE Faculty Achievement Award, NASA publication honor
- Best Paper recognitions: IEEE Antennas & Propagation Society and Components/Packaging Transactions
