Dr. Emmanouil Georgiadis serves as Senior Lecturer in Sport and Exercise Psychology at the University of Suffolk's School of Health, Sciences and Society. An internationally recognized expert with elite athletic background as a swimmer, he applies psychological principles to enhance athletic performance and well-being across individual and team sports, including Olympic-level competitors.
His research focuses on motivational constructs in sport/exercise settings, lifespan health behavior, chronic pain management, and psychophysiology. Key projects include non-biomedical pain perspectives, hospital gown usability studies, and heart rate variability biofeedback applications for depression. Recent publications span pain research, public health interventions, and dermatology-exercise interactions.
