Dr. Emma Gorman is a Principal Research Fellow at the University of Westminster's School of Organisations, Economy and Society, affiliated with the Centre for Employment Research. Her expertise lies in applied economics, focusing on education, health, and labor economics. She holds a PhD in Economics from Lancaster University and a BCA (Hons) in Economics and Econometrics from Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. Prior roles include positions at the New Zealand Treasury and the University of Glasgow.
Her research investigates social mobility, population health disparities, and educational policy. Key projects include the ESRC-funded 'Children of the 1990s' study on social mobility and an analysis of post-16 education pathways funded by the Nuffield Foundation. She is an IZA Research Fellow and GLO Fellow, contributing to global labor and policy research networks.
