Emma Dures

Emma Dures is Professor in Rheumatology and Psychology at University of the West of England's Faculty of Health and Applied Sciences. A chartered psychologist, she researches psychological factors in inflammatory rheumatic conditions using qualitative and mixed methods.

Her expertise includes:

• Psychological support frameworks
• Self-management strategies
• Patient outcome measurement
• Collaborative enquiry methodologies

Dures leads the UWE Rheumatology Team focusing on patient-centered research and serves as theme lead for musculoskeletal research. As Adjunct Professor at University of Southern Denmark, she coordinates international studies on fatigue interventions and treatment impacts.

She co-directs the Bristol Bones and Joints Health Integration Team, promoting musculoskeletal health research across Southwest England.
