Emma Bond serves as Associate Professor in the Department of Italian within the School of Modern Languages at the University of St Andrews, where her academic work bridges Italian and Comparative Literature through transnational perspectives.
Her research critically examines the circulation of people, texts, and objects across borders, with specific expertise in:
- Transnational and Postcolonial Literary Theory
- Migration Narratives and Border Studies
- Psychoanalytic Approaches to Body Politics
- Material Culture in Post-Imperial Contexts
Currently developing the book project "Re-Collecting Empire: Transnational Modes of Collecting, Curating and Display," she investigates decolonial methodologies for museum heritage. Bond actively seeks collaborative research partnerships, PhD co-supervision opportunities, and interdisciplinary knowledge exchange initiatives focused on cultural heritage and transnationalism.
