With over 20 years of clinical experience as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in the NHS, she transitioned to academia in 2019, joining the Nursing Apprenticeship Team. She holds an MSc in Healthcare Leadership and focuses on teaching and leadership development in nursing. Her expertise spans mental health nursing, clinical risk assessment, and suicide prevention. As Module Lead for Interprofessional Working and Leadership, she emphasizes preparing students for advanced roles in healthcare leadership.
Her professional background includes a role as Modern Matron in the NHS, reflecting her commitment to clinical excellence and patient care. She leads a team delivering first-class nurse education, integrating practical experience with academic rigor. Emma advocates for evidence-based practices in nursing education and collaborates with peers to enhance student outcomes in the nursing apprenticeship program.
