Emily Walsh is an Associate Professor and Chair of the Accounting & Finance Department at Asbury University's Dayton School of Business. She teaches financial accounting, auditing, and information systems. A full-time faculty member since 2008, she also serves as Asbury's NCAA Faculty Athletic Representative since 2021. Dr. Walsh holds a D.B.A. in Accounting (Anderson University, 2022), M.B.A. in eCommerce (Norwich University, 2006), and B.A. in Accounting (Asbury College, 1998). Her research focuses on trust-based financial controls in churches, biblical accounting principles, and pedagogical methods in accounting education.

Research & Professional Experience: Prior to academia, she spent a decade at Lexmark International in roles spanning payroll management (4,200 employees), global audit operations, and system implementation. Her current research integrates faith-based perspectives with accounting practices and pedagogy. She actively advises student organizations including the Business Club and Eyrie Investment Group.

Additional Roles: Advisor to the Visionary Class of 2020 and former Asbury Women’s Softball athlete. Lives in Wilmore with her family.
