Emily Smith

Emily Smith is Associate Professor in the School of Education at the University of Alaska's Juneau Campus. Her office is located in Hendrickson Annex 101H.

Research interests focus on special education transitions, assessment methodologies, and high-leverage instructional practices. She holds professional affiliations with the Council for Educational Diagnostic Services, Learning Disabilities Association, and maintains National Certification for Educational Diagnosticians.

Educational background includes a B.A. and M.A. from McNeese State University, and an Ed.D. from Lamar University. Her work addresses critical needs in supporting students with disabilities through secondary and post-secondary education phases.
