معرفی
Emily R. Moore is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at Northeastern University. She leads the Moore Bone Lab, focused on bone and mineralized tissue formation using primary cilia signaling and mechanobiology. Her research integrates biomechanical stimuli, molecular signaling, and cellular behavior to address skeletal repair and development.
- Education: BS/MS in Biomedical Engineering (Case Western Reserve University), PhD in Biomedical Engineering (Columbia University).
- Postdoctoral Training: Harvard School of Dental Medicine (bone/tooth development).
Research interests include primary cilia's role in bone mechanotransduction, fracture repair, and BMP/TGFβ signaling in periosteal cells. Recent work explores orthodontic strain impacts on periodontal ligaments and neuronal influences on dental pulp.
Publications span 2016–2024, emphasizing primary cilia in skeletal biology, mechanobiology, and tissue regeneration. Techniques include mouse models, cell signaling analysis, and biomechanical testing.
Labs/Teams: Moore Bone Lab at Northeastern University, collaborating on novel tools for mineralized tissue regeneration.
