Her creative output centers on expanding vocal repertoire, exemplified by the 2020 album 'Let Evening Come: American Songs Old and New' featuring unheard works by American composers. This project bridges historical and contemporary practices, highlighting her commitment to uncovering marginalized voices and innovating within classical traditions.
Scientific recognition includes:
- U.S. Fulbright Scholar Award (2022-2023) for research at The Royal Conservatoire at The Hague
- The Chicago Tribune's designation as one of the 'Best Classical Recordings of 2020'
As an educator, Dr. Martin mentors through global masterclasses and residencies while leading em2CONNECT to support artists during industry disruptions. Her Fulbright grant enabled cross-cultural collaboration at The Hague, advancing methodologies for new audience development. She directs the Bucknell Voice Lab, which explores the intersection of vocal science and artistic practice, and co-founded the performance collective Women on the Verge to champion collaborative creativity.
