معرفی
Emily Kuhn is a Research Fellow at NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) under the NASA Postdoctoral Program (NPP). Her work centers on cosmology and instrumentation development, particularly for the Hydrogen Intensity and Real-time Analysis eXperiment (HIRAX).
Education:
- Ph.D., Yale University (2022)
Research Focus: Emily's research involves calibration systems for radio telescopes, targeting dark energy equation-of-state constraints through large-scale structure measurements and fast radio burst (FRB) detection. She designed a custom test-bed for antenna noise temperature analysis and developed a drone-based beam pattern mapping system for HIRAX, enhancing cosmological data accuracy.
Scientific Awards:
- NASA Postdoctoral Program Fellowship (2021)
- Francis Englesby Loomis Fellowship (2019)
- NASA Space Technology Research Fellowship (2018–2020)
- NSF Graduate Research Fellowship (2018)
Advisor: Laura Newburgh (Yale University).
