Emily Griffith is an associate department head and Professor of the practice in the Department of Statistics at North Carolina State University (NCSU). She graduated from Florida State University (FSU) in 2003 with a bachelor’s in statistics and earned her doctorate from NCSU in 2008. Her work focuses on statistical consulting, interdisciplinary collaboration, and education. She leads initiatives like the Statistical Tutoring and Training Hub (STAT Hub) and was the principal investigator of a 2023 Sloan Foundation-funded project on data science consulting practices. In 2023, she was honored as a Fellow of the American Statistical Association.
