Emily A Marshall

Emily A Marshall is an Associate Professor of Sociology and Public Health, and Program Chair of Public Health at Franklin & Marshall College. Her academic journey includes roles as Assistant Professor (2015-2023) and Faculty Associate at the University of Michigan's Population Studies Center (2014-2015). She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from Princeton University (2012) and a B.A. in Mathematics and Russian Studies from Pomona College (2000), where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and cum laude.

Her research focuses on social demography, fertility and culture, survey methods, medical sociology, and comparative historical sociology.
