Emilio Porcu

Prof. Emilio Porcu is a Spatial Statistician and Data Scientist affiliated with Khalifa University. His research spans theoretical statistics, Climate Change applications, natural and anthropogenic catastrophes, and health data science. He has authored approximately 180 papers in top journals and maintains international academic recognition through awards and fellowships.

• PhD in Statistics, University of Milano and École des Mines de Paris

Research Interests: Focus on Spatial Statistics and Data Science, with emphasis on environmental applications, climate modeling, catastrophe risk analysis, and health data science. His work bridges mathematical rigor with real-world challenges like climate change and public health.

Scientific Contributions: Recipient of the Stuart Hunter award, Elected Fellowship from the International Statistical Institute, and cross-continental accolades from Europe, US, and Latin America. Recognized as an Honorary Ambassador of Chile for his scientific impact during residency there.
