Emilio Capettini is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Classics at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He holds a BA and MA from the University of Pisa and Scuola Normale Superiore, and a PhD from Princeton University (2016). His research focuses on ancient novels, Greek epic poetry, and tragedy, with a strong emphasis on classical reception studies.
