MME Emilie PLANES is a Lecturer at the Université Savoie Mont-Blanc, affiliated with the IUT de Chambéry’s Department of Materials Science and Engineering (SGM) and the LEPMI laboratory (UMR 5279, CNRS). She holds a HDR (Habilitation to Supervise Research) and has been involved in academic and research activities since 2009. Her roles include coordinating distance learning (via Moodle/Teams) and co-directing the EUR Solar Academy, focusing on 3rd-generation photovoltaic technologies and summer school programs.
Education:
- Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (2018): "Polymer and composite materials for energy storage and transport: formulations, processes, functional properties and durability"
- Doctorate in Materials Science (2008): "Evolution of mechanical properties of irradiated EPDM composites"
- Master’s in Polymer Materials (2005), Engineering Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/Plastics Processes (2005)
Research Interests: Emilie’s work focuses on developing sustainable photovoltaic devices and functional polymers for energy applications. Key areas include:
- High-performance perovskite and organic solar cells
- Material characterization and stability optimization
- Collaborations with CEA-LITEN, Solaronix, Fraunhofer Institute, and international teams
Publications & Labs: Over 8 peer-reviewed articles (2019–2020) emphasize photovoltaic material science and polymer engineering. She is part of the LEPMI’s GUIDE and MIEL teams, contributing to interdisciplinary research in energy materials.
