معرفی
Dr. Emiliano Dal Molin is a PostDoc (Research Fellow) at Technical University of Darmstadt, working in the group of Prof. Gurlo since March 2025. He completed his PhD in February 2025 under the supervision of Prof. Gurlo and Prof. Repke. His research focuses on catalysis for CO2 utilization, specifically the advanced fabrication of structured catalysts. Additionally, he holds a position as Project analyst at PVP Advisors GmbH since October 2024.
Dr. Dal Molin earned his PhD from Technical University of Darmstadt in February 2025. His dissertation, titled "Advanced fabrication of structured catalysts for CO2 utilization: Case studies on Ni/SiO2 and In2O3/ZrO2", addressed key challenges in catalyst design for sustainable chemistry.
His primary research interests include:
- Catalysis for CO2 utilization
- Advanced fabrication of structured catalysts (including 3D printing)
- Case studies on Ni/SiO2 and In2O3/ZrO2 catalyst systems
- In operando characterization techniques (EPR, X-ray)
- Catalyst deactivation modelling
Dr. Dal Molin has established a network of collaborations during his PhD, working with:
- Prof. Repke and Prof. Schömacker on 3D printed tandem catalysts
- Prof. Risse for in operando EPR experiments
- Prof. Hess for catalyst deactivation modelling
- Prof. Kanngiesser for X-ray based measurements
- BAM (Dr. Pauw) and TU Graz (Dr. Smales) for small angle X-ray scattering
As a recent PostDoc, Dr. Dal Molin is actively contributing to research in catalysis and materials science. He also organized the EC2/BIG-NSE student excursion to BASF Nienburg in October 2024, demonstrating engagement in academic community building.
