Emiliane Elizabeth Marie Rubat Du Merac

Emiliane Elizabeth Marie Rubat Du Merac is an Associate Professor in Experimental Pedagogy at the Department of Social and Developmental Psychology, Sapienza University of Rome. She holds a National scientific qualification as Full Professor acquired in 2023. Her academic roles include being the Academic Advisor for the CIVIS Task Force 'Innovative Pedagogies', Responsible for International Academic Mobility for the Science of Primary Education program within the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology, and a member of the PhD Board in 'Social Psychology, Development and Educational Research'.

Dr. Rubat Du Merac graduated in Pedagogy and Educational Sciences from University of Rome la Sapienza and completed her PhD in Pedagogy from University of Roma Tre. She has served as a UNESCO Consultant and received her Mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) Certification from UC San Diego's Center for Mindfulness.

Her research focuses on skills, attitudes and values development and evaluation, the impact of educational environments on their maturation, and competence-based education. She has established herself as a leading researcher in comprehensive sexuality education, outdoor education, and soft skills assessment. She is also an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Psychology – Environmental Psychology.

As an educator, she provides specialized training courses for students, particularly in mindfulness applications.
