Emil Poiesz

Emil Poiesz is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the University of Oslo's Department of Informatics, affiliated with Integreat - Norwegian Center for Knowledge-driven Machine Learning. His research examines reasoning capabilities in large language models and their applications.

Poiesz completed his Master's degree at the University of Bergen with a thesis on reasoning in LLMs. He teaches courses in semantic technologies (IN3060) and responsible data science (INSTK5000), focusing on ethical AI development and knowledge representation.

Working with supervisors Ana Ozaki, Lilja Øvrelid, and Samia Touileb, his research aims to advance understanding of how language models process and reason with information, particularly in complex decision-making scenarios.
