Emil Mitov

Emil Mitov serves as Chief Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics and Management by Sector within the Faculty of Economics at Sofia University "Kliment Ohridski". He has been part of the academic staff since 2008, initially as a part-time lecturer before advancing to his current position after 2010.

His academic credentials include bachelor's and master's degrees in Business Management from Sofia University's Faculty of Economics. He completed his Doctor of Science and History of Science at the Center for Science and History of Science - Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, with a dissertation focused on "Interorganizational Networks – a Means of Innovation Transfer".

Dr. Mitov's research concentrates on organizational knowledge systems and innovation processes, with particular expertise in Knowledge Management and Innovation Networks. His work bridges theoretical economic frameworks with practical applications in Accounting and Microeconomic decision-making, exploring how organizational structures facilitate knowledge transfer and innovation.

He has taught multiple courses including "Knowledge Management", "Innovation Networks", "Introduction to Accounting", "Accounting Software Products", "Accounting Reporting in Facility Management", "Decision Making by Economic Entities" and "Microeconomics", demonstrating both theoretical and practical teaching capabilities across economic disciplines.
