Emel Demircan

Emel Demircan is an Associate Professor jointly appointed in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering and Biomedical Engineering at California State University, Long Beach. Her research applies dynamics and control theory to biomechanical systems, rehabilitation robotics, and human movement analysis.

Dr. Demircan develops computational frameworks for human motion synthesis, sports biomechanics, and natural motion generation in humanoid robots. She directs research on wearable haptic feedback systems for locomotion training and VR-based perception studies.
