Emanuel S. Grant is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS) at the University of North Dakota, where he serves as the Graduate Program Director and Associate Director. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor (2002–2008) and Associate Professor (2008–2018) in the Department of Computer Science at the same institution. His academic journey spans roles in software engineering education, research, and leadership.
- Education: B.Sc. from the University of the West Indies, MCS from Florida Atlantic University, and Ph.D. from Colorado State University, all in Computer Science.
Research Interests: His work focuses on software development methodologies, formal specification techniques, domain-specific modelling languages, model-driven software development, software engineering education, and ethics for software engineering. He actively collaborates globally with institutions such as Holy Angel University (Philippines), HELP University College (Malaysia), and Singapore Management University (Singapore).
Affiliations: Emanuel is a member of SEMAT’s Essence group, the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), Upsilon Pi Epsilon (UPE), and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
