معرفی
Dr. Emad Arasteh is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Chapman University's Fowler School of Engineering. His research focuses on embedded systems, system modeling, and efficient simulation techniques for data-intensive applications.
- Education: M.Sc. from Lund University, Ph.D. from University of California, Irvine
His work addresses challenges in embedded computer architecture design, particularly for applications involving artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the Internet of Things. He develops simulation models that optimize performance while maintaining cost efficiency, with a focus on contention-aware modeling in SystemC TLM-2.0.
Recent publications highlight his contributions to: (1) BusyMap - a novel data structure for interconnect contention analysis; (2) MapGL - interactive CAD software for application mapping on many-core architectures; and (3) grid-based CNN optimization techniques.
Dr. Arasteh collaborates with researchers from University of California, Irvine including Rainer Dömer and Vivek Govindasamy, focusing on electronic system level (ESL) methodologies and temporal decoupling in embedded systems.
