Elżbieta Stadtmüller

Elżbieta Stadtmüller is a Professor at the University of Wrocław, affiliated with the Department of Regional and Development Studies. Her research focuses on political aspects of international relations, global security, regional cooperation governance, and the EU’s role in international systems. She has supervised over 34 doctoral students, 450 master's theses, and 200 bachelor's theses since 1994.

Her teaching emphasizes European integration, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) foreign policies, and security theory. She has coordinated major EU grants like the 6th Framework Programme’s GARNET Network (2005–2010) and served as a visiting professor at institutions including the University of Minnesota and University of California, Santa Barbara.

Awards include the Polish Prime Minister’s Prize (1996) and the National Medal of Education (2002). She holds leadership roles in scholarly associations like CEEISA and SGIR, and her work includes media commentary on international politics.
