Elyce Pate

Elyce Pate is a Lecturer at the Adelaide Nursing School, part of the University of Adelaide's Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences. She graduated from the Adelaide Nursing School in 2008 and completed a Nursing Entry to Practice program in New Zealand, specializing in pediatric care. Her career includes over a decade at the Women's and Children's Hospital, where she held roles such as Nurse Educator. She joined the Adelaide Nursing School in 2019, becoming a Lecturer in 2021. Currently, she leads the Year 3 Bachelor of Nursing program and coordinates three undergraduate courses.

Elyce's research focuses on pediatric nursing, nurse education, and improving healthcare workforce well-being. Her work addresses burnout and distress among nurses caring for children with cancer. She is actively involved in clinical education and advocating for family-centered care.

Outside academia, she balances family life with hobbies like parkrun and reading.
