Dr. Ely Oliveira-Garcia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Plant Pathology and Crop Physiology at Louisiana State University. Her research examines fungal pathogenesis in cereal crops, particularly effector biology and biotrophic strategies of Magnaporthe oryzae causing rice blast disease. She employs live-cell imaging and functional genomics to study fungal colonization mechanisms.
