Eloy Nolivos is an Associate Professor of Christian Ministry and Director of Theological Programs in Spanish Theology and Ministry at Indiana Wesleyan University. He holds a Ph.D. from Regent University (2011), an MDIV from Pentecostal Theological Seminary (1994), and a BA from West Coast College (1991). His research focuses on the intersection of Scripture, rhetoric, and interdisciplinary theology, particularly in the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Revelation. He has presented at academic conferences, including a 2023 presentation on general education outcomes with Dr. Frank Poncé.
Research Interests: Nolivos explores how Luke blends prophetic, priestly, and apocalyptic elements in his writings, emphasizing repentance and persuasive rhetoric. He also investigates Jesus’ role as an archetypal martyr in Revelation, linking it to contemporary Christian practice. His work bridges ancient rhetorical techniques with modern theological engagement.
Publications: His scholarship includes articles on repentance in Luke-Acts, rhetorical refutation in Luke’s Gospel, and martyrdom theology in Revelation. Upcoming work with Dr. Rachel Coleman examines Jesus’ martyrdom in Revelation’s narrative.
Labs/Teams: While no formal labs are mentioned, his directorship of Spanish Theology and Ministry programs suggests leadership in intercultural theological education.
