Elodie Ripoll is a Lecturer and Research Assistant at the Department of Digital Humanities at the University of Trier. Her research focuses on French literature (18th-19th centuries), quantitative literary studies, and historical anthropology, with particular emphasis on color discourse in literature and the evolution of narrative topoi. She co-edited the upcoming volume Tomber en amour (2025), examining the emergence of sentimental concepts in 18th-century literature. Her work bridges literary analysis with digital methods, exploring themes like color symbolism, animal imagery, and interdisciplinary approaches to textual criticism. She teaches courses on digital humanities, text analysis, and digital edition methodologies. Ripoll’s publications span monographs, peer-reviewed articles, and edited volumes, reflecting her engagement with both empirical and theoretical dimensions of literary history.
