Eloísa Palafox is an Associate Professor in the Department of Romance Languages & Literatures at Washington University. She holds a Ph.D. from Michigan State University and specializes in Spanish medieval and Renaissance literature, with a focus on Celestina, exempla, and the interplay of oral traditions, religious thought, and ethical questions in written texts. Her research explores how medieval discourses of power shaped later secular and religious frameworks.
