Research expertise spans two primary domains with industrial applications:

• Sustainable Development & Environmental Innovation: Circular economy solutions, metallurgical emissions control, and carbon capture using industrial waste
• Advanced Materials & Manufacturing: High-temperature process optimization, metal recycling, alloy design, and microstructural characterization using experimental and modeling approaches

She leads the LIPPS laboratory, focusing on multidisciplinary research integrating mechanical, software, and industrial engineering for manufacturing optimization. Current projects include refractory lifetime enhancement in steelmaking, thermodynamic database development for metallurgical systems, and microwave-assisted critical metal recovery.

Professor Moosavi actively supervises 17 graduate students working on applied research in metallurgy, recycling, emissions control, and sustainable material design.
