Dr. Elly Park is an Assistant Professor in the Masters of Occupational Therapy - North program within the Division of Medical Sciences at the University of Northern British Columbia (UNBC). She earned her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Alberta and has five years of teaching experience at the University of Alberta, covering courses from anatomy to capstone projects in occupational therapy.

Her research focuses on digital storytelling, narrative inquiry, and qualitative research methods, with a strong emphasis on social justice and marginalized populations. She has explored topics such as dementia care, obesity and osteoarthritis, autism spectrum disorders, and the criminal justice experiences of individuals with learning difficulties. She has held postdoctoral fellowships at the Canadian Consortium on Neurodegeneration in Aging and the Alberta Bone and Joint Health Institute.
Dr. Park's publications highlight her work in knowledge translation using digital storytelling, ethical considerations in narrative inquiry, and social determinants of health. She is available for media consultation as a subject matter expert and does not currently accept graduate students into her lab.
