Elling Tufte Bere is a Professor of Public Health at the University of Agder (UiA), Department of Sport Science and Physical Education. He holds additional roles as a Researcher at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health since 2018 and previously served as an Associate Professor (2007-2010) and Visiting Professor at Erasmus University Medical Center (2006-2007). His research focuses on evaluating public health interventions, sustainable physical activity, cycling, organized sports, sustainable diets, and social inequality.
