Ellen Wruble is a Professor and Director of the Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) Program and Master of Science in Anatomy & Clinical Health Science at the University of Delaware's Department of Physical Therapy. She holds affiliations with multiple academic institutions including the University of Maryland School of Medicine and Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions. Her clinical licensure spans Maryland and Delaware with certifications in wound management and clinical instruction. Wruble earned her BS in Clinical Science (Ithaca College, 1993), MSPT (Ithaca College, 1994), and DScPT (University of Maryland, 2003).
Her research focuses on acute care physical therapy, wound management, and innovative clinical education strategies. Notable contributions include developing curricula integrating simulation-based learning and evidence-based practice. Her work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, exemplified by partnerships with theater programs to enhance patient communication skills.
