Ella Logemann serves as a Researcher in the Applied Plant Ecology working group under Prof. Dr. Kai Jensen at the University of Hamburg's Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science and Natural Sciences. She is embedded within the Department of Biology and the Institute of Plant Sciences and Microbiology (IPM), with her office situated in the Otto Warburg House (Room 2.118).
Her research centers on coastal ecology, emphasizing salt marsh ecosystems, biodiversity patterns, and carbon dynamics. These investigations address critical questions about ecosystem resilience and biogeochemical processes in vulnerable coastal habitats, contributing significantly to the broader disciplines of Ecology and Environmental Science. Her work integrates field studies with analytical approaches to quantify ecological responses to environmental change.
As a core member of Prof. Jensen's research team, she collaborates on projects advancing plant ecology and environmental sustainability, leveraging institutional resources within the IPM to support data collection and analysis for ongoing studies in marine-terrestrial interface systems.
