Prof. Dr. Elke Greifeneder is a full professor at the Institute of Library and Information Science (IBI) at Humboldt University, Berlin. She holds a dual role in teaching and research, specializing in Human Information Behavior, Standardization of Online Methods, and User Experience Design. Her work focuses on bridging theoretical frameworks with applied research in library accessibility, digital curation practices, and misinformation dynamics.
Her research areas include health information behavior, hybrid digital methodologies (e.g., remote card sorting), and user-centric evaluations of digital platforms. Notable contributions include pioneering studies on false health information dissemination and co-developing the General Model of the Information Behavior Field.
