Elizabeth Todd is a Part-time Lecturer in the Department of History at Case Western Reserve University's College of Arts and Sciences, based in Mather House 311. She holds a B.A. from Case Western Reserve University, with M.A. and Ph.D. degrees earned from Ohio State University. Dr. Todd has taught history courses at CWRU since 1994.
Her teaching portfolio includes Introduction to Medieval History (500-1500 CE), Introduction to Byzantine History (300-1453 CE), The Early Church (1-450 CE), and Reformation Europe (1500-1650). Specialized courses examine topics such as The Crusades, Medieval Heresy, Vikings, and Ancient & Medieval Spain (prehistory to 1492), with some offerings cross-listed with Classics or Religious Studies departments.
Current research explores the implementation of papal reform and pastoral care in 13th-century France. She has previously taught SAGES seminars on Reformation Europe and the Polar Regions in History. Office hours are available by appointment.
