Elizabeth Sherowski is an Assistant Professor of Law at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where she teaches courses in Appellate Advocacy, Disability Law, and Legal Writing. She holds a J.D. from The Ohio State University College of Law and a B.A. from the University of Notre Dame. Her expertise focuses on improving legal education through transparent, accessible pedagogical strategies and advocating for disability law reform. Previously, she served as an Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in Ohio and operated a private practice specializing in juvenile and education law.
Professor Sherowski’s research emphasizes inclusive legal education frameworks, NextGen Bar Exam preparation, and innovative teaching methodologies. Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Capital University Law Review and the University of Detroit Mercy Law Review. She has presented nationally on topics including syllabus design, rubric development, and integrating transactional drafting into legal curricula.
Her professional service includes fostering greyhound adoption through foster care for retired racing dogs. She maintains active roles in legal writing conferences and has developed curriculum materials for institutions like Mercer University and The Ohio State University.
