Dr. Elizabeth Robson is a Research Fellow at the University of Stirling, affiliated with the Department of History, Heritage, and Politics. She specializes in collaborative knowledge production, participatory heritage management, and social values assessment in heritage conservation. Her current project (2023-2026) investigates the National Trust for Scotland’s approach to embedding social values into organizational policies. Previously, she contributed to the AHRC-funded 'Deep Cities' project, analyzing urban heritage values in Edinburgh and London.
- Education: PhD in History (University of Stirling, 2021), MRes in Social Anthropology (University of Aberdeen), MA in Environment, Development, and Policy (University of Sussex), BA in History (University of Exeter).
Her research focuses on participatory methods to assess the social significance of heritage sites, bridging academic and practical applications. She co-developed the Social Values Toolkit for heritage practitioners and has published on heritage values in urban contexts. Awards include the 2022 Saltire Emerging Researcher Award, enabling collaboration with the University of Oslo’s Heritage Experience Initiative.
