Elizabeth Reis is a Full Professor of Statistics and Marketing Research at the Department of Quantitative Methods for Management and Economics (IBS) at ISCTE-University Institute of Lisbon. She holds an Aggregation in Quantitative Methods for Management (1999) and a PhD in Social Statistics from the University of Southampton (1987). Her research focuses on multivariate statistics, sampling methodologies, and data analysis applied to business and management. She has held leadership roles including Director of the Quantitative Methods Department (2014–2018), Vice-Rector for Human Resources (2018–2022), and Director of the PhD in Applied Business Management program.
Her teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate courses in statistics, data analysis, and research methods. Current courses include Quantitative Research Methods in Applied Business Management and Probabilities and Sampling.
Research projects include INITIATE (2024–2027), addressing institutional transformation in European universities, and a census quality survey assessment (2021–2022). She leads the Data Analytics Group within BRU-Iscte, collaborating with institutions like INE (Portugal).
Her academic service includes roles in the Scientific Council and General Council of ISCTE, emphasizing institutional reform and research excellence.
