Elizabeth Pope is an Associate Professor in the Educational Research program and Director of Research Compliance at the University of West Georgia. She holds a PhD in Adult Education and MA in Islamic Studies from the University of Georgia. Her research focuses on qualitative methodologies, interfaith dialogue, transformative learning, and the integration of digital tools in research. She teaches courses in educational research design, qualitative methods, and program evaluation, emphasizing affordable learning materials and online pedagogy.
Dr. Pope’s educational background includes a B.A. in Religion (2009), M.A. in Islamic Studies (2011), and PhD in Adult Education (2017). She is a certified ATLAS.ti trainer and specializes in qualitative meta-synthesis, reflexivity in research, and interfaith conversation analysis. Her courses span undergraduate and graduate levels, including doctoral dissertation research guidance (EDSI-9998) and specialized methods training (EDSI-9962).
Her recent publications explore interfaith dialogue frameworks, technological reflexivity in qualitative research, and challenges in global qualitative scholarship. She actively develops curricula that bridge research theory with practitioner needs, particularly for adult learners in diverse educational contexts.
