Elizabeth Peacock is an Associate Professor in the Department of Archaeology & Anthropology at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Her work focuses on sociolinguistics, youth identity, Eastern Europe, and postsocialism. She teaches courses such as 'Anthropology of Childhood and Youth' and 'Language Policy and Activism in Europe.'

Her research examines how youth in Ukraine navigate class, national identity, and globalization. Recent publications explore spatiotemporal dimensions of identity and language policies. She has been recognized as a Wisconsin Teaching Fellow & Scholar (2022) and participated in the UW Faculty College for teaching excellence.
Peacock advises students in cultural anthropology and has conducted fieldwork in Ukraine since 2003. Her work bridges sociolinguistics, post-Soviet studies, and youth culture.
