Elizabeth McConnell, PhD (she/her or they/them), serves as an Assistant Professor at Palo Alto University, teaching primarily in the PhD program. She is a core faculty member in the Center for Evidence-based Applied Research (CLEAR) and supervises students in the Sexual and Gender Identities Clinic at the Gronowski Center.
Her academic credentials include a PhD and MA in Clinical-Community Psychology from DePaul University (2019 and 2015) and a BA in Comparative American Studies & English from Oberlin College (2007).
Dr. McConnell's research examines health disparities among intersectionally diverse sexual and gender minority populations through relational and structural lenses, employing social network analysis and mixed-methods approaches. Her clinical work emphasizes trauma-informed care, group therapy, and gender-affirming practices.

She actively mentors students in clinical supervision and contributes to professional communities as a member of APA Divisions 9, 27, 35, 44, and 45.
