Elizabeth Kon

Elizabeth Kon is a Full Professor specializing in musculoskeletal system diseases. She has held roles at Humanitas University, the Rizzoli Orthopaedic Institute, and the University of Bologna. Her research focuses on regenerative medicine, nano biotechnology, and cartilage repair. She led the Nano Biotechnology Laboratory at Rizzoli's RIT Department (2012–2017) and currently serves as General Secretary of the International Cartilage Repair Society (ICRS). She holds a National Scientific Qualification as a First Level Professor in musculoskeletal medicine.

Research Interests: Elizabeth's work bridges clinical practice and innovation in musculoskeletal health, emphasizing nano-biotechnological solutions for tissue regeneration and orthopaedic applications. Her contributions include advancing cartilage repair techniques and biomaterials for joint restoration.
