Elizabeth J. Bailey is a Research Fellow in the Department of Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry at Yale University. Her work focuses on the oncogenic virus Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) using cryogenic electron microscopy. She collaborates in the laboratories of Dr. Yong Xiong and Dr. Allison Didychuk. Previously, she earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Columbia University, investigating bacterial transcription-translation coupling mechanisms, and holds a B.A. in Chemistry and Studio Art from Kenyon College, where she was a Goldwater Scholar.
