Elizabeth Haddon is a Reader in Music at the University of York. She previously held roles including Research Assistant, Research Fellow, Lecturer, and Senior Lecturer in Music. Dr. Haddon holds a PhD in Music and is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her research focuses on music pedagogy, creativity in teaching, mental health in music education, and cross-cultural music practices. She has authored over 50 publications and supervised numerous research projects, including grants on well-being in music education and collaborative music initiatives.
Education: PhD in Music. Awards include the University of York Rewarding Excellence Award (2017) and UKCGE Recognised Research Supervisor (2023). Projects include Wellbeing Activities and Mental Health Awareness and Music Workshops for Refugees. She actively contributes to academic supervision and collaborates internationally on music education topics.
