Dr. Elizabeth Falade is an Assistant Professor of Popular Music, Sound & Media Cultures at the University of Groningen's Faculty of Arts. Her research focuses on race, gender, sexuality, and marginalized communities in popular music, particularly Black Queer women artists. She is a Black queer feminist DJ and ethnomusicologist.
