Elizabeth Ewaskio

Elizabeth Ewaskio is a Lecturer in the Department of World Languages and Cultures at the University of Utah, specializing in Russian language instruction. She teaches first, second, and third-year Russian courses while maintaining active involvement in professional organizations like the American Council of Teachers of Russian (ACTR).

• Education: BA in Comparative Religion with a Russian minor from Carleton College; MA in Russian from Middlebury College.

Her research and teaching focus on Russian language pedagogy and cultural education, informed by field experience including Peace Corps service in the Kyrgyz Republic and refugee support work. Her recent scholarly activity includes a 2023 review of Colloquial Russian: The Complete Course for Beginners, reflecting expertise in language acquisition materials.
