Elizabeth Dewitte is an Associate Professor at the University of Utah's Art & Art History Department, with a focus on the Language of Color and its cross-cultural communication. She teaches courses like Language of Color and Intro To Visual Arts while maintaining a dual career in outdoor instruction at Wasatch Peaks Ranch since 2023. Her academic journey includes an MFA from the University of Utah (2000) and PSIA Level 1 & 2 ski instructor certifications.
Her research explores color's psychological and cultural dimensions through projects like Be Nice, Say Hi (2021) which investigates social interaction through visual design and Mandala Plate Series (2020) examining color meditation. She has founded Render7, a design & illustration company active since 2013, and contributes to local organizations including Saint Joseph Catholic Schools and Ogden Nature Center through art commissions.
Professional activities include ski instruction at Snowbasin Resort (1998-2023) followed by current roles at Wasatch Peaks Ranch. Academic service spans from Assistant Professor (Lecturer) to Associate Professor (Lecturer) at the University of Utah since 2013.
